Gary Slavin GARY SLAVIN
Gary Slavin is a 50 year resident of Massapequa. He and his wife, a   teacher in the Massapequa School district, raised two sons here. Gary has   been a member of the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce since 1994 and is a Past President. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Marist College in 1975. A community activist, Gary is a former president of East End Disability Foundation, responsible of raising money for special needs   families on Long Island.

JOHN LYNOTT John Lynott
John Lynott is a retired lieutenant with the FDNY. He and his wife Patty   are raising their children in Massapequa. John is the President of Massapequa Lacrosse Club, a member of the Massapequa Athletic and Association Council and is active in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Gary and John have formed a partnership that has resulted in one of the   most successful collaborations in Massapequa history. Together they spear-headed the drive for the Field of Dreams, Improvements at John Burns Park, the establishment of the Town of Oyster Bay Lacrosse League and successful negotiation of the 28%, Massapequa’s fair share of the SEAfund Bond issue.   Now they have set their sites on reforming the fiscal responsibility of our school district. Not by attacking our educators, Teachers and Administrators, but by positioning our school board to become factors of real   change. Gary and John are proven agents of change.  Their plan will result in tax relief, educational improvements and establish Massapequa as the ideal community to raise our children.
